I am engineer, 37 years, romanian, certification in NDT area by EN 473 level 3 UT, level 3 PT, and level 2 RT.
experience 17 years in UT, PT , RT.
good experience in testing RT, flouroscopical and radiografiocal methode for pipe welded .
I know ASME, ASTM, API5L, european standard for NDT ( DIN, BS , GOST) area.
I want a job.

Cass, what kind of pay can you expect in Alberta or anywhere for UT? I'm considering entering the field. What does the future demand look like? Which discipline of NDT would you say has the most potential for profit and job security?

Am 25 ani, am terminat o facultate de mate, si de aprox 3 ani lucrez ca alpinist. Vreau sa stiu daca pot urma un curs (in Romania) si obtine un certificat UT valabil in EU sau UK. Exista o metoda de a obtine direct nivelul II ? Eventual un pret.
Job-uri in NDT sunt pe platformele petrolifere, cu un certificat IRATA, pentru lucru la inaltime (600 euro, SOLO Brasov) sunt sanse mari pentru ceva, si se plateste bine (>300 euro/zi).

I have a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician position available located in Peoria, IL on a 4 month PLUS contract. You would be working for Volt, and assigned to Caterpillar Inc. This position could be extended out for a longer period of time. This position has a hourly rate range of $18.00- 20.00.

NDT Technician Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician
East Peoria
Required Education:
HS Diploma
2yr associates preferred
ANST -Level II certification
ULTRASONIC SHEAR WAVE APPLICATIONS A PLUS!
Job Description:
The NDT technician is part of a team that provides UT support to the steel fabrications assembly group. The team performs in-stream process audits to validate cast and fabricated structures per weld engineering and manufacturing specifications. Magnetic particle (wet/dry) and liquid penetrate inspection occasionally required. The technician would be based from the local Metallurgical Testing Laboratory.
Job Requirements:
Individuals must possess ANST -Level II certification and 1-2 years experience with ultrasonic inspection of welded structures. Experience should include but not be limited to porosity, fusion, depth, and crack characterization. Qualified individuals will have experience interpreting engineering drawings and following written audit guidelines. Group is seeking person with good communication and teamwork skills, and ability to support a high velocity-manufacturing department. Individual must have basic computer skills including MSWord, Excel, and ability to learn shop SPC system. Technician must also possess a high school degree; associates preferred. Exposure to metallurgy or materials science concepts and ISO 9001/17025 preferred. Applicants having experience with Krautkramer USN 52-series ultrasonic units a plus! Past experience maintaining units or repairing and making transducer cables a plus!

i hope that u got anew job.
dear friend
iam new to the field of NDT and i have level 2 in the folloing fields
(UT,ET,PT,MT & VT) and i have no one in my company to build up my knowlege , so please if u can help me , to attain some knowledge from ur experience , or if you have some procedures according to ASNT in any of the above fields containing the accept /reject cretria knowing that i work in power stations (steam and gas)
