I live in Houston Texas. At the current time, I am a real estate broker.
I have a Masters Degree, and I'm 56 years old. However I am a young
56. I was an athlete in college, and I work out daily. I have thoroughly
researched the NDT field, and I realy want to make a career change.
Please anybody, is this a wise move or not. I have been told that the
NDT field is wide open and full of opportunity

Thanks,
Jack Simmons

the ndt field is very wide open, lots of opportunities. you can travel if you like and you can pretty much go anywhere even over seas and off-shore. but the hours can be very long and the pay might not be where you would like it to be

The pay will not be where you want it to be starting off. However there are great opportunities in this field. With out the 40 hour rad safe it is hard to get your foot in the door for a lot of places, but it is possible. once you get in the business, how much money you make and how far you go is completly up to you.
